Sleeping With Sirens and Pierce The Veil have been staples in the post-hardcore scene for the past several years. On Collide with the Sky, Pierce The Veil featured Sleeping With Sirens’ Kellin Quinn (frontman), which made the announcement of their co-headlining tour all the more exciting. After starting the tour in November, Sleeping with Sirens and Pierce The Veil are now on their second leg of the tour, and they show no signs of stopping, with tour dates in the US and Europe all through April. On February 8th, they performed to a sold-out crowd at Columbus’ LC Pavilion.

Sleeping With Sirens

Sleeping With SirensSleeping With Sirens Sleeping With Sirens stormed the stage with Kellin Quinn commanding the crowd as if they were an army. Starting with “Kick Me,” the audience went into hysterics. Audience members imitated every move Kellin made. From clapping, to jumping, to holding metal horns in the air, the crowd responded without blinking an eye. The band eventually took it down a notch for a couple acoustic songs, including a cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.” The band seamlessly transitioned from intimate slow songs, to hard-hitting crowd pleasers. The band closed with their 2011 vengeful single, “If You Can’t Hang.” Pre-order Sleeping With Sirens’ upcoming album, Madness, or pick it up in stores on March 17th.

Pierce The Veil

Pierce The VeilPierce The Veil When the spoken word introduction of “Hell Above” began to play, the atmosphere of the room felt like a calm before the storm. With a burst of confetti, Pierce The Veil took the stage as the closing act. By the time the chorus of the song began, the crowd was easily singing louder than the band. Halfway through the set, Vic Fuentes (frontman) followed Sleeping With Sirens’ acoustic lead, playing an acoustic rendition of “I’m Low On Gas and You Need a Jacket.” With steady smiles, the band tore through the rest of their set, even pulling a lucky fan onstage for “Bulletproof Love.” To the crowd’s delight, the band returned to the stage for an encore, performing “King for a Day” with the help of Kellin Quinn. The band is set to release an album in Spring 2015.
